Go see him live @ C.89 station to see what all he uses..... Pretty amazing and I've been watching him play since he was 12! :)

@angulion I have no clue either--some people are just blessed with that kind of talent. x_x Matt Chamberlain is, in my opinion, another one of those people.

Just have a hard time wrapping my head around this one.. I love the music but I have a hard time understanding ho someone can make it look so easy. The timing, the coordination, the fact the he can "concentrate" on the laptop mean while..

I love KJ but why aren't there any mics?

Holy fuck this is so dope I strive to be so creative... love

Pretty much if it's a drum sound, he's making it manually with the exception of a few hi-hat notes here and there. The majority of the lesser sounds you hear are done via ghost notes (really quiet notes) which he does as 16th note accents on the snare. The only sound which he's not making is the bass riff. A lot of the drum sounds are syncopated, which he wouldn't be able to pull off without manipulating the tracks himself, which he can't because he's still drumming.

i just love his "shuffled" rhythms.
no 4-to-the-floor, pure drumfunk!
a human drum-computer with some
slight offbeats here and there, which
reminds you he's still human ;-)
