wierdly I was brought in to replace Yasmin Saleh when she left the band, I think because I looked just like her. Did a few gigs but then the band just faded away. Still have copies of Apples and Oranges and the single Walking on the Line as that was released when I was in the band.

@ladycalpernia - Is the 'Apples & Oranges' album on tape? As I've never seen it on vinyl but I did manage to get a cassette copy of it.

@ladycalpernia - If you ever wanted to sell the record I'd be interested in it. I'm a big fan of Kevin Archers work in Dexys & The Blue Ox Babes. It's a great shame that he isn't stilll making music these days.

Good news is that Cherry Red Records will be releasing a CD of The Blue Ox Babes sometime in 2009.
