Welcome to Media Education Project: Exploring Innovation in the Open Content Movement
Media Education Project is a collective and collaborative effort of teachers and researchers; we engage educators in dialogue to translate, exchange, and mobilize knowledge about the critical issues in digital media education so as to promote sets of shared standards and educational outcomes.
We also support an active digital citizenship among our participants, and encourage social interactions among various education communities.
To support the goals of an equitable information society, we design open educational resources (OERs), which encourage teachers to share and to identify benchmarks and best practices. These resources are shared through our digital learning commons, which we also use to gather data to consider questions of digital accessibility and interoperability and the uses of new media tools in educational spheres.
Our passion is for media education. Our digital learning commons welcomes user-generated content. This is a virtual space that promotes interaction and encourages teachers to build community.
Log on to mediaeducationproject.ca to see the latest developments. We are constantly changing, constantly growing. And we need your support. Thank you.
