@Mauser91 Thanks, much appreciated. My school course guide says the only prerequisite is Math 007 which is basic algebra. I already took it, but my different classmates are telling me you don't need to know, you do need to know.... Im going to call the biology department to ask... Thanks again..

I HIGHLY recommend learning chemistry before undertaking bio. You don't need a lot of chemistry - just the basics, but really it all depends on what you want to do, what school etc. etc.
But learn the basics - its not hard.

im looking at taking an entry level biology course for pre-medical purposes. is it essential to have experience with chemistry before taking bio? I know the professor says it is in this course, but different schools have different academic programs and was wondering if it is necessary in general.

@Mauser91 - Yeah, I've come to find out that knowing basic chemistry has helped me understand biology a lot better than when I didn't have that background. I'm self-studying college bio, and it's going hand-in-hand with topics my class has covered in high school honors chem. The only thing our class hasn't covered yet that mentioned in bio is redox reactions.
