Bible=//=Literal word of God. If anything, the Bible is merely a catalogue of mankind's early thoughts and relationship with God. There are some very good moral lessons in it, undoubtably. But there are parts which include brutality and a vengeful, hateful God. There were multiple writers (hundreds) for all the collected books in the Biblical canon. There's no feasible way they were divinely inspired. Rush is just another fanatic/hypocrite that uses the Bible for his own means. He's projecting.

@TheCrookedTimber Right which is what Rush Limbaugh and the right teach. It's odd to me that people who take the gospels seriously are painted as social gospel theologians. Yes Jesus wanted a change of heart but he demanded people's actions to follow individually and in a society. This whole idea about a personal relationship with Jesus and celebrated individualistic selfishness the right wingers parade on is serious cherry picking of the Bible to foster their ego and importance.
