I *really* appreciate the billboards, but let's be careful to be the shining beacon of truth seekers in the world and fact-check our arses off!

This is Sick!

@adsensus I sure hope so
-
@DevilChao5 Small speed bump on the road to greatness... no biggie.

The quote may not be Jefferson verbatim, but the reality of the phrase remains true. There is no redeeming value in superstition as a guiding force for living your life.

I think it's a hoax. I'd be glad if you'd tell us wether this was done on purpose, Bruce. Thanks.
-
Damn dude, making atheists lose credibility!!!!
-
Well, if that's the case then I'm very disappointed. We should be a model of honesty. I mean, if we're right then we shouldn't need to make shit up, right?
Satyameva jayate, veritas vos liberabit and all that. Truth over all, is what I'm trying to say.

@BohemianBlasphemy I thought he did it on purpose so he gets press attention. That's how I understood it. If that's true, it worked rather well ;-)

@BohemianBlasphemy You should take a look above you at Dannysinfield and realize that yes the quote is off on the Billboard but Dannys put the actually quote so yeah Christians are still schizophrenic cult members
That hurt. I appreciate you owning up to your mistake but how did you ever let it get to this stage? Simple quote checking would have saved us all some embarrassment.
I appreciate the billboards, I think they serve an effective purpose and I want to see more in the future BUT they need to be accurate and on message or you end up doing more harm than good.

"And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors.” —Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823.
