Unfortunately not, John Lowe hit the 1st ever Televised 9 Darter, but it wasn't live TV.
John Lowe's 9 darter was pre-recorded and shown later in the day when the highlights footage of the afternoon matches that were played after the afternoon broadcasting had ended.
There is a balls up somewhere though because Shaun Greatbatch is supposed to have hit the 1st ever Live broadcast 9 darter, but Sid Waddell says that PT made history with this 9 Darter the 1st live one.... ???
