It's common sense folks. You don't get high cholesterol because your body is lacking drugs. You get it because you're eating too much crap, and/or not enough niacin (and other nutrients).
Take a high dosage multi-vitamin daily to cover all your bases. I've been doing this since my mid '20's. I'm 43 now, and I've never been on any prescription drugs. I rarely get sick (knock on wood), and I feel better now than I did in my early '20's. Check out CoQ-10 and Alpha Lipoic Acid too.

I had my cholesterol and trigylcerides checked about 6 months ago, and my numbers where thru the roof. My doctor put me on Lipitor, which made me very weak, made my hair fall out, and generally made me feel like crap. I read about Niacin and thought after the first dose of just 100 mg, I wouldn't be able to take it. Now I'm up to 2,000 mg a day. Just had a calcium scan yesterday, and had 3 of 4 arteries completely plaque-free. One artery was scored as having minimal plaque. Niacin works!

Don't do the flush free version. It's gotta be nicotinic acid. The flush free version won't give you the same benefits.

@england2345able i take ONE 500mg tablet before i go to bed. get the FLUSH FREE NIACIN, you can get it for like 7 or 8 bucks at walmart or a drig store. take it every night with ir without food, doesnt matter...then get your blood work done in 2 months....see how it works for you. A doctor told me to do this. The drug companies DONT want you to take a natural drug, they want you to PAY thru the wazzoo for a prescriotion drug that will guarantee side effects, for more drugs in the long run!
