Last year, I was bored watching morning care with only a couple of children. Since it was the start of Terra Nova exams I decided that we should write a song for the Terra Nova test. Within that short half hour I had a good portion of the song written to Ke$ha's song "Tik-Tok." The children loved it so much, that when I started teaching my new class of fourth graders they requested to sing the song as well. At the time "Tik-Tok" was a pretty popular song, (it kind of still is) but I wanted to pick a new song, so that the children are familiar with the tune. I recently heard a group of children singing the song "Forget You" and decided since they knew the song so well, I would write my new Terra Nova song to "Forget You" by Cee Lo Green.
