It's probably cheaper to have the actual orangutan then a puppet one, if it's to do the same movements. Anyway, I don't see a problem using the orangutan. Hey, if he was abused, then I'm the first to help him. But if he isn't abused, and it doesn't look like he is, I see no harm.

PETA has some credibility issues. The thing is,they have no proof that the orangutan in this commercial was ever abused. They just implied it.

i agree with woolamgirl. it's true.
to train that orangutang to be put in that commercial and other tv airings like it they generally are beaten and hurt to be shown "who's boss". around the age of 8 they are considered too powerful to listen to a trainer so they're dumped at hideous roadside zoos or warehoused in horrible conditions.
that orangutang you see there is just a baby. i'm all up for entertainment but i mean if they computerized the duck, they could have computerized the orangutang.
