@bill4long yes, and after 1890 any traces of polygamy were unrelated to the Mormon church. Young was dead before this period, but i'm sure today he would be okay with the direction the church has turned

@drumsrus100 I was a Mormon for 20 years and have studied the Mormon Church extensively. The fact is, the Mormon Church under Brigham Young was very much like the FLDS church is today. I know that must be uncomfortable for you.

@1776bricks no. i still have not changed my opinion. I concede that there MIGHT be some ADULT polygamist groups that are happy being the way they are, but for all/any members that were forced in and all the children and child-brides that want to get out but are too afraid... government interferences are the only help they might get - and awareness must be rised

i hope that all these pedophiles and sex offenders get what they deserve (torture, torture, torture!) and that the children and even the enslaved mothers find the help they need. i'm not sure what the government should or would do with this horrifying case, but i know that anything is better than this ranch. however you look at it, its enslavement and its sexual and mental abuse rolled under a false religion.

FLASH! The courts just revealed the truth. There was ONE underage pregnancy out of 400 children. Hell, Houston can't even claim anything close to that good of record. With logic they are using all the children in Houston should be taken by the state due to the massive abuse going on in that community. Half the families in America today are in broken homes with multiple mothers and fathers involved. At least the FLDS children are drug free and know who their father is AND he sticks around.
