Belgian Van Hool are very reliable buses

These busses usually retale in the UK for bout £400.000, so in US$ would be a major investment for any bus company! Very possible if the company retain them for a 20 year service life, having said that, these busses are really built for distance work, and would be a waist on every day public travel! nice vid mate, but make them longer!

MTA should go ahead and buy a fleet of buses!

those buses are not needed in NYC.
They will not fit in the tunnels and if they cross a bridge then the bridge my fall of the bus may fall.
And anyways the buses that are still in service are doing fine so there is no need for a double deck bus on MTA bus/NYC bus.

Contrary to your belief, these buses do fit in tunnels. They travel across bridges with ease. These buses arent top heavy so they dont tip over that easily.
Although I agree with these buses not being needed for MTA/NYCB Service.

These are hot!
I heard about testing on local routes but I don't know if they will do it for revenue service (I think its called revenue). I hope they do!

They were supposed to run in local revenue service, but due to some setbacks, they have been set on the X17J line
