  • I have not flown the Mustang in about three months or more. And I can't put my hands on the flight manual in short order, but for practical purposes, where ever the manufacturer puts the red line or never exceed line on the airspeed indicator, is where the horn starts to blow. Also,anytime some one tells you he is able to go way over let's say a speed line like the 250Kts, he may mean he is doing that not in indicated, but in true airspeed. TAS and IAS are quite different.

  • O and another question, must you handle the throttles by yourself in the autopilot aproach?

  • Once the approach is started, I use the power levers (throttles) to set and hold airspeed on the target speed or near to it.

  • Hey Aeromachines, I have a question. Today I bought this plane. Everything works, but when I do an aproach on the autopilot, everything isworking but the plane isn't losing altitude. So when I'm above the runaway, i'm not on the runway but 5000ft above it! Please help me!

  • I have not flown an approach in some time in the G-1000 or Cessna 510. However, when coupled approaches are made, normally the altitude hold is removed auto matically if it is a precision approach. And the power must be adjusted to maintain airspeed at your selected number, such as 102Knots, etc. If I can find time I'll fly one soon and repost here for you.

  • How to do the approaches? Well, depends on if you are only short on G-1000 knowledge or what else? This system is in many regards just like the real thing; so you have to be cognizant of how the real G-1000 works. I fly the G-1000 in a Cessna 182T so it works much like that one. If you get a bit more specific in your needs, maybe I can help more. But this system can take a lot of hours to master. I am an ATP Pilot with 20K hours of real time.

  • Hey, Nice vid but i have a question. Why is it that the CMustang only gets up to 250knts before redlining? is there a way to override this? My Good friend owns a real C Mustang and he said he can cruise at 340 knts safley. Any thoughts? your answear is greatly appreciated.

  • Yes, the aircraft doesn't have ATS (Autothrottle, just throttle detents for cruise, climb, and takeoff), during an approach you have to control the throttles yourself, but its fairly easy to control the speed of this aircraft. Make sure when you do an approach you select the approach via the PROC (Procedures) page on the MFD Keyboard, and select the APR (Approach) button on the autopilot. This should follow the approach course heading and if there is a glideslope or WAAS, it will descend with it
