@sarahrolie You can go to 600 more BB King concerts and you'll never hear Hummingbird sound better than Leon Russell's original recording. Sorry, that's just the way it is. I don't dislike BB's version(s), in fact, I give him credit for getting this great song far wider exposure than Leon could ever have done alone.

i dont about this version. I'm not feeling it at all. and I've heard and/or attended over 600 BB King concerts.NOt feeling the piano orJohn's guitar. I'm just too used to the original 1970 feeling. John Sounds like a pansy on the mic and can't cut it as a blues singer. a very WEAK version. One word, Forgettable.

@mikehayz0 .... What?
I say it isn't a fair comparison, and that translates to "R&B is better than blues"? I have a suggestion for you. Turn the computer off, go to the nearest library, and read a damn book.

@Stefandurrr so ur saying contemporary rnb is better than blues? sorry but there are genres, then there is random music for people with no skill or musical ability :)
-
@Italianqueen302 No one genre is better than the other. Plus Hip-Hop is still very young. It isn't a fair comparison.

Chord changes are amazing, B.B.'s voice articulates the lyrics with clarity and precision. Genius at work.

fucking absolutely amazing. had goosebumps the whole time.

does someone know the name of the pianist?
People can say what they want about Mayer, but you don't play with the King without reason!
