If you lived in Alaska you'd shoot a moose. It's food. Not like you can run down the road to safeway and pick up a pound of ground turkey. Have you seen the remoteness? If they didn't kill the deer and moose, they'd be all over the place, eating your vegetable gardens, getting hit on free ways, etc...

@pebblefrog196 that doesnt mean they dont use the food. My parents were hunters and I remember having to gut the deer as a kid. It's not about survival anymore by any means. But if you disregard population control then you're just being over opinionated.
