Because I don't want anyone reading this to think that I'm trying disrespect judo or those great fighters. I just want you to know that everything has to continue to grow and evolve. Just because something has grappling on the end of it doesn't mean anything anymore. Catchwrestlers have to learn jiu jitsu, jiu jitsu have to learn wrestling, and so forth. A lot of times with martial arts the art fail to evolve with the time. Peace man I'm not trying to diss anyone.

@130kali and why cant you disclose the names of these judokas? when your 5 dan or 6 dan then you must be old. im surprised you even say they're even competing
-
@130kali please tell me the difference if you train catch wrestling and jiu jitsu than if you train judo its all ground fighting isnt it!
-
Now you're talking crazy. I don't have time for this. You're the only judo fighter that's still trying to keep hope alive. Ad Santel went to Japan and beat all the top Judo fighters with ease. You may know them, but out of respect for them I will not mention their names. Once Santel beat 5th and 6th degree black belts, Japanese fighters began training in Catch wrestling abandoning Judo. That's why the majority of Japanese MMA fighters train in Catch wrestling and jiu jitsu.

@130kali ground fighting came from judo not jiujitsu. seeing that you never even make an argument to the statements i give and you keep repeating the same things over and over again.
-
Get lost. You're just arguing like a female. If you think your art is so good put it up against another art, in this case jiu jitsu, and you will see the truth other than that get lost. I personally do not care if you never train in jiu jitsu, w/e. I have grappled with judo fighters before and continue to do so. If you're trying to learn something go and compete, but if you're trying to prove your art's superiority get lost because unlike you I actually grapple with other styles.

@himoms1001 Today's jiu jitsu fighters aren't using yesterdays grappling moves (well some). You're going to run into a lot of different guards and set ups. Fighters like Karo are trying to update Judo, but not without the help of first studying jiu jitsu. If I put a judo fighter against another Judo fighter he will do well on his back, but if I put him up against a jiu jitsu figher, he'll lose. The difference is Jiu Jitsu emphasizes more on grappling. That's why I keep telling you to compete.

@130kali wtf did you say? judo is exactly like jujutsu except the techniques that require power are removed, in judo there is striking but not in the sport of judo. judo has ground work and its worked on every practice so you saying "You cant put a judo fighter on his back" is the most uneducated statement you've made
you're an idiot. EVERYONE in mma uses bjj, even the military uses it. if you do not know bjj, you will get destroyed.
