Having 999 HP, 999 MP, a speed of 50, a physical attack of 99, and a magic attack of 99 seems like you'd have to use a Gameshark or the related in order to have. It turns out that it's entirely possible to have such stats without cheating, rather, exploiting a weakness/design flaw in the game. When Ramza is the stat-raiser, things are a bit different, especially phase 2. This 5-segment series explains how stat-raising for Ramza works where I focus on raising his speed to the extreme.

  • so what do you do when your just starting to do this any advice of what skill to increase first?

  • Downlevel as a bard then uplevel as a ninja for Ramza. This will make Ramza's "yell" far more effective and he could clear out all the most troubling enemies though still leaving one. Do this enough times and Ramza as a squire will have 50 speed naturally and boy do I love that! This makes the process for everyone else (except annoying guests) so much easier. You could clear out every story battle solo with no difficulty this way doing 999 damage every time!

  • So how exactly do you max the speed stat and the speed stat alone? I have ramza with 97 brave and 84 faith and am trying to work on just speed.

  • Downlevel as a bard, as usual, then uplevel as a ninja. Repeat about 30 times and you'll max out speed at 50.

  • I love what you're doing here! I played FFT back when it came out and now have it also for the PSP. But it has been a long time and I was never as involved as you. Noobish question though... I keep reading for LVLingup and getting JP people use "accumulate" and "chakra". I know Chakra is a skill for the Monk job, where's accumulate from?

  • Accumulate is not as effective as stealing gil, especially when dealing with max level enemies.

  • @ElTipoArrogante Accumulate is a squire skill, also known as focus in the new translation.

  • Or just put one frog lowest and petrify all your characters but two, Ramza and a t-Mage with math skills.

  • I also think the reqs have changed too... just my luck -_-
