Octopus in the process of camouflaging itself nearly perfectly. This clip is from a TED (Technology Entertainment Design) presentation by David Gallo showing the Octopus and other sea and deep sea creatures. The underwater video was shot by Roger Hanlon.

Yeah, I know ... others have posted a similar video. I didn't do a search before I posted. (I won't do that again.) I got a clearer picture than most though, and the others don't have the comments by David Gallo, and the crowd's reaction to seeing it.

P.S. Is the octopus studing the coral and coping it, or simply just turning transparent?

The octopus copies it. I don't know if it really thinks about 'copying', I think its more similar to when a human feels their hair stand up on the back of their neck .. only the octopus has colors instead of hairs, and they 'stand up' in the form of whatever they see around them.

I am not promoting religion, I am asking for people to start judging Religion based on facts, and don't judge Religion based on theory, and yeah I know many here are gonna argue about Evolution not being a theory, but like to remind you all that:

@TheGnarfield What's wrong with bacteria and viruses? If not for the bacteria in your stomach, you wouldn't be able to digest most of what you eat. You wouldn't be able to produce energy to fuel your body either. And without viruses, how would we transfer genes to hosts for medical use?
