Bumblebee had slipped into open rain water barrel. I decided to lift it off the water and had an idea to film it drying out itself. Pretty interesting to watch this close.

  • It expended so much energy drying itself off. Very interesting and nice of you to give it a chance.

Bumblebee is very useful and important insect. It is so fluffy and that helps pollinate plants for example our apple tree. Honey bee and bumblebee are not evil like wasps that get very easily annoyed and sting you.

So if you spot one, don't smash it. Take a closer look and observe. Don't be afraid it won't sting you. It is very diligent little worker.

  • Sen peräpäästä tulee kai ulostetta n. 1:40 videon alusta (mitäpä muutakaan).

It seems to excrete something at about 1:40 from the start.

  • Aww so cute! XD

So fuuny the way the can be clumsy at times.

I had a the chance to rescue a fuzzy bumblebee the other week :P

  • Aaaawww, so cute! I usually gets insects out of water when I see them as well, unless it;s obvious they're dead. I always feel sad to see a drowned bug.

  • @juggis I have found bees that have "run out of gas" and have fed them a honey/water mixture. It gives them enough juice to maybe get back to their hive.

  • Looks like a male Bombus Lapidarius. Great you saved it's life!

  • Me? This is not my video. This is a video from "juggis", as you can see in the top of the page... :)

  • A bee wee!

I'm glad you didn't tie string round it like so many twats on here.
