If the L88 was 560hp, it would've been faster than it was. They were certainly fast cars, capable of high 12's at 112 to 114mph, but not 560hp fast. I know that engines are not rated the same way that they were in the 60's, as they used to be rated at gross HP before putting on all accessories, but still.. By today's standards, and L88 was probably making 450hp at the crank.

@enjoi543 stock hp numbers don't mean anything. the 1967 Stingray L88 was factory rated at 435hp but actually had about 560 hp stock at 12.5:1
