It's something that exists increase appeal. Considering Nintendo lost the last two console wars, and then the Wii took everything by storm, it's hard to NOT see it as a gimmick.

Lets be honest, the Wii doesn't have that many great games. SMG and SMG2 are both overrated. MK:Wii isn't as good at MK:DD. Animal Crossing City Folk is terrible.
