  • Ive always wondered if an inflatable plug would work for small 17/19' hull glassing one offs. Or a blow up mold that is filled with expandable foam instead of air to keep the molds shape. Fiberglass molds need to be taken to the next level at a reasonable price for the diyer. Talk about opening up a new market. wow. Once the hull was complete the cap would be a breeze. Just lay over cap and fill with foam till dry then remove for glass laying. This would revolutionize small hull building.

  • Thats all well and good but.... How many guys are out there wanting to make a hot rod out of fiberglass? As a buisness plan for your future project, Taking on making a 19' catamaran boat (cats have the best of everything, skinny water and high seas, you broaden your market using this hull) with all composite material (no wood) would be more feasible for you to promote product sales. With the price of boats sky rocketing, a true diy glass hull would be priceless for the diyer.
