My new song is quite chilling without any drums or percussion.
The piano and the effect sound were sequenced on a Kawai Q80ex.
The main melody was played live (just jamming around). So you might notice 2 or 3 minor mistakes. I didn't have the time to record it over and over again. So I left it the way it is right now.
Piano:
Yamaha CS6x (self programmed)
This CP70 patch is a modification of the internal preset voice PRE1:010 (A10) "CP2000".
Effect sound:
Roland XP-30 (XP-A:230 "Shine on")
This patch (obviously inspired by Pink Floyd and their song "Shine on you crazy diamond") is from the integrated "Session" expansion board.
Melody:
Korg 01/W (Combination A92 "OrchReeds")
Effects:
Lexicon MX300 (Preset 7: "Realism")
Behringer UB1622FX-PRO (Preset 53: "CHORUS & REV.")
The track was recorded and normalized with Wavosaur on a Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 VX in 24 bit quality.
Please add "&fmt=35" to the URL (without the quotation marks) for better audio quality.
Once again the sound of the video is slightly distorted (even in HQ mode). This time the original video was an .avi-file but the conversion result from YouTube is just as as bad as in my SQ8L video. My first trial to upload this one here as a .wmv-file didn't sound any better. The original video does NOT sound distorted at all. Sorry, folks.
If anyone knows how to solve that problem, please send me a message. Thanks in advance.
While composing the song, the rock band Journey came into my mind because they often used the CP70. Thinking about their lead singer Steve PERRY, I suddenly remembered the science fiction hero PERRY Rhodan. And so I called the song "Greetings from Perry" and made this video.

is this card asio compatible? i want to use it for recording and for guitar rig

@axlhm In order to get low latency times you can make almost any (!) card compatible to ASIO by using a freeware program called asio4all.

@sauermusicDE
i used that with my onboard card...i bought this card 2 days ago and i'm not so pleased with it...it's too quiet...even with all my volume levels at maximum

@axlhm Check the speaker configuration. If the speaker configuration is set to 5.1 you will probably not get full volume out of the main outputs for simple stereo purposes. Mine is set to a 2-speaker-mode and I have no problems. In general the VX is of course not as loud as a pro audio interface...don't forget the price.

Fat slideshow with nice music, 'lil bit too minimal imho! The distortion, maybe the point is the normalisation, which goes to zero. Try to keep the level under zero. hth!

@grauoliv In my SLS AMG video I left a little bit of headroom when I normalized the audio signal. Seems like you had the right idea! Thanks for your help.
