Steve Jobs Died: Dead At 56. We Mourn The Death Of Apple CEO

Steve Jobs died today.

In a brief statement, Apple announced the death but did not say where he died. He suffered from a rare form of pancreatic cancer and had a liver transplant in 2009, and he stepped down as Apple's chief executive officer on Aug. 24, 2011.

While I have never owned many Apple products I recognize the contributions of Steve Jobs to the technology industry.

I met Steve on several occasions and was always impressed with his social behavior, and his confidence in all situations.

i don't $ apple products, but i agree w/u that America - the planet lost some1 who, beyond words, inspired me & a lot of people. & who knows how long Wozniak, Bigll Gates, & others I don't know, will be around. seems like when some1 like these leaders dies, i become sadder because they embody great confidence. these leaders demonstrate possibilities even when we don't c that in ourselves. they challenge my soul, my drive, 2wards something better than me.

It's NOT about celebrating the DEATH of a visionary genius.. I ADD it's about celebrating the LIFE of that same genius that inspired the company of Apple to constantly and steadily improve.
