  • Id hate to see them fall off. Maybe a good set of monitor stands would be good. It will also help you point them equally towards the sweet spot

  • @sifuraul normally i don't have the laptop there...just put it for the video sake...but yea later i'll get the stands n a much bigger desk :)

  • nice setup.., looks like you need more space or a bigger desk,i work in a small space myself now. . i hope those bx5a's don't fall off your desk. i have some of these monitors on the way myself, i'll be hooking them to my m-audio delta 1010lt with the TRS rca to 1/4" connectors. will there be a difference in sound quality between that and balanced xlr?

  • @inzane61 i've tried setup with 1/4 n xlr didn't notice any quality loss...plus 1/4 don't take up much space...thnx!

  • @roxstar1 XLR is better quality than that silly headphone jack that you use. you talk about quality, but you have your computer hooked up using RCA?? wow..

  • @DJJunglemunky just fyi for video's sake showing SPEAKERS..didn't setup the interface n extra stuff...

  • Hey great video man...but a bit of advice...you might want to move those monitors a little bit further away from the wall

  • @roxstar1 You still want to get monitor stands because you're sitting too far back for their distance. You want your listening position to form an equalateral triangle with the monitors. If you sit 4 feet back you want 4 feet between them for instance. Also you don't want to be turning them in to face you, the tweeters have a wide dispersion and they need to be perpendicular to your listening position. Otherwise you will get colored sound and phase distortion.

  • I would recommend searching google for DIY ikea music studios - you can easily create stands for those monitors that will separate them at the proper angle so you can get that "sweet spot" for less than 30 bucks.

  • Nice set up my brother. Thanx 4 sharing with us.

    Peace

    :-)

  • an audio interface, with some xlr cables running to it will be much better.
