  • Inspite of the fact that you are describing a heat engine you haven't used the notion of heat? If both compression stroke and power stroke are driven in a adiabatic way they must occur at different temperature difference. Remember the work done by adiabatic process is directly proportional to the temp. diff.,that's what exactly a combustion do. It rises the temp. diff. b/w the source and sink(atm.).
