The I4 is still a great car, but it's not as spirited as the v6. Though you notice very little difference on the highway (as far as horsepower goes --- it's lighter but slightly less powerful so it nearly balances out), regular driving fun in the v6 but 'ricey' in the i4. Gotta rev the crap outta it to go anywhere. Although I would still get a manual 4-cyl over the automatic 6-cyl.

The i4 isn't too bad. I went from a 03 GS-R (v6, 6-speed, short ram intake, stock-aftermarket lowering springs the whole works) and then I got a brain and bought a new 08 GS (I4, and... a sunroof).
The biggest difference is the fuel economy --> The v6 for it's xtra 30 hp does not justify the gas usage, and the 4banger is amazing on your wallet.
Next thing is the ride quality --> I4 is a hell of a lot quieter and more comfortable on the road. But it doesn't handle quite as well.

jenuelpr.....if u invest in a tiburon go for v6...as far as i kno they r the same price.i could b wrong, but i have a v6 myself and i feels pretty fast. i raced a scion for myself and beat it. of coarse cuz i had a v6 BUT the scion isnt a slo car. im pretty sure it will beat the i4 any day tho. i could b wrong abt that also cuz ive never drivin an i4 tiburon. do reasearch and i hope u make an investment u dnt regret....

On mixed driving with a bit more of highway driving, I average around 27mpg. One time, I did mostly city-driving and the lowest I got was about 23mpg. As for reliability, my Tib was been really good to me. Coming from a Toyota & a Honda, I had my doubts at first but I'm a believer in Hyundai quality. The only "problems" I've had are gunked up headlights, faded spoiler & gas cap paint, and defective radio. I got the gas cap & radio replaced under warranty. The spoiler, had it repainted.

wow dats pretty impresive,so is the car also good on gas and u know on everything else u dont have problems wit it cuz u know people talk crap bout hyundai

I have the basic bolt-ons--4-in-1 header from Megan Racing, Injen Super SES catback exhaust, and Fujita CAI. As for the suspension, I have front and rear struts, thicker rear sway bar, and coilovers. The Tib might not be fast in a straight line but with the suspension mods, it can keep up with faster cars on twisty mountain roads. For instance, I was able to keep up with my friend's Acura RSX Type S (210hp) on the Glendora Mountain Road. Even he was shocked by it. =P

yeah cuz i used to have a i4 eclipse and it wasent u know fast but it runs ok and since i like the tiburon also i want to do some research u know lol,and i saw a video of a v6 tiburon getting beat by a scion and i dint like dat cuz dat would mean that the tiburon sucks i saw that video around here in youtube, but anyways what kind of mods u have on yours dat u say it runs quicker?
