@aiannelli1 Blood does NOT just flow around loose in the body. The steam/smoke you see is cauterization which closes the ends of the severed blood vessels. This is an excellent surgeon doing this particular surgury!

@bloodriverSHINING its the greater and lesser omentum...yes in a sense it is mainly fat which protects your distal jejunem and ileum (small intestine) from bacteria and is basically a protective barrier.
