Cambodia Bokator

Bokator or ancient Khmer martial art is a deadly martial art born in Cambodia 1200 years ago, it was part of the Khmer warrior it was part of the Khmer warriors everyday training and it was design for killing the opponent. Today, Bokator is one for the rarest combat art on the planet most of it teachers and masters were killed in civil wars during the 1970s.

Arman lives and trains in Kim Sean's school, located in the slums of Phnom Penh, before travelling to the ancient Bokator temples of Angkor for a final showdown with San Kim Sean's top fighter.

Bokator is definitely a Khmer art which was born out during the ancient Khmer empire during the Angkorean age and has been pass down to future generations to carry on as much as Cambodian classical ballet or court dance which was usually accompany by royalty and nobility. Despite its low profile and the rarity of its art form, bokator will be prosperous as much as royal court dancing which is supported by all Cambodian. We are a people that will overcome all adversity and remain glorious.

Bokator is there, it has been collected and invented by the King of Jayavarman VII against the Mongolian force. Bokator of 8 and 12 doors way of combating.

1- punch, cross, jab, hook, upward elbow, elbow cross and fly and downward elbow.

2- Knee or low kick, half body cut, and round house kick

3- Side knee, knee to the face and fly knee

Hapkator oops! Bokator is invented by Hapkido master San Kim Sean, Cambodian refugee, after Ong Bak 1 came out. He got inspired so much by Tony Jaa move. He decided to go back to the homeland to reinvented the lost Khmer pride called Hapkator sorry Bokator.

When cambodians fight outsiders that are trying to learn, they don't go hard..thats total disrespect to the culture too. The only time you will see a cambodian who knows the art of bokator is against another professional or in a life and death situation.
