  • I love the design of these---the detective is nothing but bunch of balloons wearing a hat, and the backgrounds are jagged abstractions of bright color----and dig them crazy panning shots with those tilted angles! Fun stuff.

    Were there any others besides this one and the one with the hippo?

  • If you got on Muppet wiki it says that these sketches were from the early days of the show.Unless it's just this sketch it's from the late 80's?

  • Just to clarify, no computer animation here all done by hand by one guy, Dan Ivanick , I did all voices, my name is John Barilla.

  • @wattamack4  I just found out on that website being mentioned here it first appeared in 1987.

  • I'm still amazed that a lot of people remember this character , I was the voice and if there were other characters like the elephant , Idid those voices also , I have I think 6 of these but I'm not sure , they are on video VHS so I hope I can convert them and post all of them because the two that are on here have gotten some welcomed attention , Thanks for all the nice thoughts , John

  • Yes there were. One with traps. One with a snake and one with clever ways to escape a crock.
