Lauding "Collapse of Global Warming Movement" Inhofe Tells UN Summit "You Are Being Ignored"

DemocracyNow.org - While no members of the U.S. Congress attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Durban Republican Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma recorded a video message that was aired at a press conference of climate change deniers here at the summit on Wednesday. "Tossing out any remote possibility of a U.N. global warming treaty is one of the most important things we can do for the economy," Sen. Inhofe said. "I am making this announcement from Washington D.C., where I am confident the only person left talking about global warming is me. The message from the Washington to the U.N. delegates in South Africa is this, we could not be any clearer: You are being ignored." To comment on Inhofe's remarks, Democracy Now! talks to Kate Horner, a policy analyst at Friends of the Earth and Michael Dorsey, an assistant professor of environmental studies at Dartmouth College.

This is what a paid spokesman for the oil industry sounds like. Unfortunately, he is on the public payroll. How many pieces of silver did he receive to sell his integrity to defend the indefensible? @KingRyltar I hardly expect anyone to be taught by accident! I disagree with many of my teachers, college is not about indoctrination, it is about complex synthesis and being able to tell a logical fallacy from a well supported theory. Trendiness exists in relation to pop culture, not scientific literacy, and is often reserved for those who opt out of college. How would Obama's climate change position get him re-elected? He is standing in the way of reforms agreed upon by most of the world!
