One of the best LOL ive always loved this tune, they used to play it at the mid in didsbury manchester in the early 80s when I used to go there, never forgot it,
When Carson Robinson recorded this Rockabilly/Hillbilly Rocker in 1956 he was 65 years old, born in 1890. Proabably the oldest to record Rockabilly in the 50s!
Oh, this is fabulous !! Especially considering that this track dates from 1956. The lyrics deserve a CLOSE listen-to !! Brilliant .. Way ahead of its time .. Jan & Dean's Little Old Lady From Pasadena (Summer 1964) had nothing on Mr Robison here. This track still plays a treat at dance-parties, even to this day .. v. popular, especially after a drink or three beforehand ...

In 1980 they used to regularly play this at a Rock n Roll club I went to. The floor always filled up.
