OKC Tea Party Video #2

Video from the Oklahoma City Tea Party rally, April 15, 2009. The speaker is Julie Henry. Julie reads various statements sent in by men who are frustrated with high taxes, wasteful spending, growing government debt, and the current plans by the White House and Congress to nationalize huge sectors of our private economy. There is a crowd sweep beginning around 2:00, if you are interested in how many people attended. Capitol police estimated 4,000. OHP officers estimated 5,000. The crowd was energized, but polite and civil. The rally was a huge success that far exceed anyone's expectations.

SeekerNLife: You don't know what you're talking about. The illegals have paid in $billions to Social Security and won't qualify for benefits. They ARE paying their way in this country, and for you to say they should all be deported means that the US loses 5% of our workforce. That's just plain unrealistic. We need to mainstream those who are contributing, not with automatic citizenship, but at least visa status.

What was the whole point of these tea parties? She's a good speaker, and I agree with the deficit arguments. But Obama created the biggest tax DECREASE on the middle class in history, and his taxes on the "rich" went from 34% to 39%, which is still ten percentage points lower than under Reagan. What is the point, here?
