Here is another very early Red Green sketch which appeared on the variety show "Smith & Smith". This particular sketch is from the 4th season of S&S (1980-1981).

In this one, Red discusses gun safety.

  • For the record, that is the actual Red Green character as performed by Steve Smith. The show "Smith & Smith" was where Red had his beginnings in the early 1980's. This particular appearance pre-dates the actual Red Green Show by about a decade.

  • if the wowan don't find you handsome they should at least find you handy!,been watching Red Green on and off since 91,i graduated H.S.in 92,and been enjoying this show for a long time!

  • Im a man and i can change if i have to... I guess

  • "the best way to check for that of course, is to take a shot at something you don't really care about....."

  • I didn't know that Steve made the character this far back. Use to watch S & S as a kid.

  • @ajh3218 Its just a cheesy but still funny gag having to do with the hunters outside. They are all such bad shots that they are firing some rounds into the lodge. The stuff is dissappearing because the rounds are supposed to be hitting it, and flinging it off the mantel, table, etc. (because of the lower budget of the show, they simply have a string attatched to it and smeone pulls it backstage, to give it the appearence as if it was hit by a bullet)

  • hes only 35 in this video :)

  • wow he's been on tv for like 25+ years
