  • Damn, this song sounds like It's about someone like me.

  • Very interesting!! Never heard that story.Love Betty!

  • I MILLER SHOES...is the name of a shoe company, that made very expensive, very conservative shoes. Betty's best friend Devin only bought I MILLER SHOES. She was anything but conservative (Dolly Dagger herself!). She was the kind of woman everyman wants to meet in his lifetime.. other words "TOO MUCH WOMAN FOR ONE MAN". She was found dead, behind the Chelsea Hotel in New York..What wasn't found was her killer? This is Betty's Tribute to Devin's Journey....

  • My favorite of hers. It reminds me of a hooker I once knew from Milwaukee. Sad ending.

  • Way ahead of her time (on so many levels - her look, voice, dress, brash brazen-ness)! Didnt love it at the time (too rough for a young teen boy hooked on Motown), but it stuck with me. Thanx for posting

  • Funk it up !!

  • Not online or the reissue of this album unfortunately...if you get the Hendrix book Scuse Me While I Kiss the Sky- it quotes them..otherwise you can hear if you listen to the song.

  • Do someone please know where I can find this lyrics?

  • Great song and attitude.....dancing queen!

  • Betty's Tribute to her best friend Devin(Jimi Hendrix's girlfriend). This is my favorite Betty Davis song, without a doubt. Jimi's song Dolly Dagger was written for her. She was a remarkable woman, truely like no other. Devin is the one who introduced Betty to Jimi. Betty in turn introduced Jimi to Miles. Miles thought Betty and Jimi had a thing going on. He thought everybody wanted Betty at that time. It was easier for him to think someone took her ,than to think he lost her.
