@onbooSTihooning @vtec2907 Using soapy water degrades the clay quicker, thats why it is NOT recommended to use soapy water as lubricant.

@vtec2907 No. I would not recommend that. I don't have a legitimate reason other than that's not what is done with professionals.

BTW How often do you clay bar your car? Do you do it every time after a wash?
