What size hook are you using? Also, would you make your chain a multiple of 7 to size and then add 11?

you are amazing!! I love your tutorials!!! i have learned a lot, thank you. I was also wonder if you have any good designs for blankets? I'm trying to crochet one for my bf and was wondering if you can recomment a style that would be ideal for a man, thanks
