This is such a pretty song with a good message. I remember in HS a girl singing it and I never got it out of my head. I'm not much of a religious person but I can understand the comfort people take in the message of Jesus and the bible.

sometimes God allows certain bad things (NOTE: ALLOW, not perform) to happen to us in order for us to become closer with Him. It seems ridiculous to do so, but if you can trust in a higher being of some sort to handle all your problems and worries, life is actually a lot more enjoyable
