It's seems unreasonable that they did build a complex base over there. There's a limit to what one ship can carry and it looks they just did some reconnaissance flights for mapping purposes. it would have taken whole fleets to support the buidling of a large base. It's true that there's bare land in certain regions over there but it's still pretty inhospitable. To me it seems they had too limited time and resources to build any significant structural bases. Still, it's damn interesting.

Well, I think it is not so difficult to build a self sustaining base there if you are able to do without unnecessary things.

Antarctica is not so an unpleasant place as "they" use to tell us.

Look for THE BELL history and think "outside the box" and you will understand what nazis were after.

It is possible not only this but also other things.

The question comes to mind: if established why did not the Secret Base save Berlin during the Soviet invasion? They had plenty of time to perfect the saucers and turn the tide of the war.
