HD Homerun dual HDTV tuners and my review there of. I've had this device for about 9 months now and everything has been great with it. I can watch/record tv on any one of my three computers here at home. I can record one channel while watching another or record two programs and watch standard tv w/o my box on any one of my television/computers. I use my tv's as computer monitors...who doesn't now a days, and so far these have recorded all the programs i've needed without missing a beat!

  • just forget the HDHOMERUN box for a minute, a tv tuner how does that work?

i plug one side into the tv tuner card and the other into my cable box? and if so will i get all the channels i would get if i was to watch cable on tv?

  • @kixmgc No. Any Tv Tuner goes from the wall jack from the cable/Over the Air to the tv tuner for the computer. No cable box can be used in this process. This is meant to eliminate the cable box and take it out. There are things that can record to your computer from you cable box, which is an HDPVR from Happauge or they are coming out with HDHOMERUN Prime for all the digital channels, including premium channels such as HBO etc.. All TV Tuners are meant to eliminate the Cable box.

  • how does this work exactly? im about to buy one

if i plug one end into my tv tuner card and the other side into my cable box will i be able to get all the cable channels i would if i was to watch cable on my tv?

  • @kixmgc This HDHOMERUN eliminates the need for a cable box. Once you get the HDHOMERUN home you plug it into you router or hub, plug in your coax cable from your cable box to the HDHOMERUN and then run the software on your computer and it will take you step by step on configuring it and your windows 7 machine will turn into your DVR cable box but w/o the costly rental fee. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • What if I schedule conflicting shows on different computers. How are tuner conflicts resolved?

  • Can you record two shows at the same time on the same computer?
