iPhone 4.1 Tesco Mobile - iPhone 4 Carrier Display

Since the recent 4.1 update all Tesco iPhone will now display Tesco as their carrier as were before they use to show as O2-UK. In case like me you are into aesthetics, this might bother you.

Leave a comment if this has happened to you or this would put you off getting an iPhone with Tesco.

I'll be adding audio to videos soon once I get my external microphone setup, if you have any suggestions let me know.

@0cool08 I don't know how to change the carrier, sorry. I'm also moving to a new carrier, my one year contract is over with Tesco. The 3G service over the year started out good but became very slow and that's why now I'm moving.

@EnzoAmataTV don't know if your iphone is jailbroken or that your aware of it but there is a 'app' you can get which allows you to customise your carrier name to whatever you want

@sufcthetyro - My Tesco contract is running out soon and I'll be trying out Orange. I will be making a video to let people know the pros and cons of Tesco after a year with them.

This may or may not have been cleared up but if your iPhone is jailbroken, then search for 'fake carrier' on cydia. You can display anything you want in the corner so you could be on 'morrisons' if you want... :p

I updated and now have the stupid Tesco thing

Is it possible to downgrade the carrier update?

Or downgrade from 4.2.1 if that would make it go away back to the 02 sign.

Please let me know

As I don't particularly want to jailbreak it

Just put an o2 sim in and use the o2 sim it worked for me
