as a non-aussie with an interest in aussie music, i'm thinking that there's a number of contenders for that title: The Unguarded Moment (The Church), Throw Your Arms Around Me (Hunters & Collectors), House Taken Over (The Hummingbirds), Street Cafe (Icehouse) and Distant Sun (Crowded House) to name but a few...

i don't like the arrangement here but - damn it - it's such a good song that its arrangement here doesn't detract from how good a song it is!
