this brings me back to kindergarten, I was always enthralled when we watched it. I esp remember Mister R ripping rubberbands, lol

Loved watching this in school

I grew up in the Mid 80's and early 90's and our teacher would show us The Letter People every Friday.

I grew up with this in the mid-70s. It was used in schools, and was definitely in a few geographic regions, I know the North and the South East.
-
I never saw this a day in my life. I think this was only aired on PBS stations in the midwest or something.

Wow-- looking back, this show is pretty terrifying... I mean, just look at those puppets; like look like something from an evil carnival. I can't believe I used to watch this every day. Or that my parents were okay with it.

This show seriously creeped me out as a kid.

Does anybody remember '3-2-1 Contact'? I vaguely remember watching that, too. It had to be a PBS program, but it's been a while. And why can't we get 'You Can't Do That On Television' on rerun or DVD? I miss those OLDER Nick shows.
