@carlcarterbass Dude, When you did "You got the Bomb" with Brian Mcknight back in the 90's on planet groove, that made me pick up the bass and the rest is history. I was 16 then, and I have been bumpin every since. Its good to find you on the tube, post some more vids soon bruh!!

Thoughts on those J99A pickups? They definitely sound great in this video... Just got a good deal on a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass today that played exceptionally well for a Squier. Looking to upgrade the stock pickups and have always been a fan of Carvin, so thinkin about picking up a pair of those J99A's at some point. So let me know what you think of them! Oh, and absolutely phenomenal playing... I aspire to be that good someday...

@ct6mblack Thanks a lot! These pcikups are great! You should first check to see if they will fit into your Squire for these pickups are the same length. You might have to get the Squire's neck pickup route modified to fit the Carvin pickup.

You're killin' it ! I'm going to buy a new bass in about a month. Could you give me your opinion on the carvin compared to others you've owned ?

@0814NIK Thanks a lot! I've been fortunate to own some great basses over the years. Many of them were very nice. Having said that, this SB5000 is a special animal! The feel, tone and playability are right up there with most Jazz type bass costing 3 times the amount IMHO.
