this old and first Iranian anthem sounds waaaaaaaay beter than the current Iranian Anthem! this anthem has more power and strength. the current one sounds like a slow and soft circus theme music

Salamati-ye Shah was the first national anthem of Persia (Iran). It was used from the time of Mozzafar al-Din Shah Qajar until 1933, when it was replaced by Sorood-e Shahanshahi Iran, which praised the Pahlavis. The music was composed by French military musician Lemaire. The new lyrics are by Bijan Taraqi which was asked by Peyman Soltani, The leader of Melal Orchestra of Iran, to write a poem for the old national anthem. This new version of the anthem is performed in October 2005 by Melal

  • @TheSlsl Thanx for loving Iran.

  • lol if you type "iran" on searchbox u only get suggestions like "iran military" "iran war" "iran army"

  • No need for division here. Lets just say Persian Gulf Forever!!!

  • I'm doing a research about Iran and can any Iranian people tell me is Ahmadinejad good for the people there and do you guys have liberties, freedom and stuff? Is standard of living good or bad? Please, only respond if you're actually from Iran and living there.

  • @bennyiran Actually Kourosh e Kabir who founded our empire was a shahanshah and so was Dariush the Great who expanded our empire to make it the largest the world had ever seen. Ardeshir I founded the powerful sassanian empire. I love persepolis, takht e jamshid and the naqsh e rostam. I'm a proud shi'a muslim but I'm also proud of my iranian history; if you don't like it stop calling yourself iranian. Persian/ Iran would never exist if it weren't for our shahanshas.

  • Most people don't know but the lion in the old flag represents imam ali and the sun represents the Shah.. The old flag was first created during the safavid dynasty which established shi'a islam. It is the best flag in my opinion, very beautiful.. I loved that sword because it let all the invaders know not to mess with the persians!!! We didn't only have kings, but KING OF KINGS and we ruled the world <333 Long Live Persepolis!!

  • You diss Heavy Metal, you die
