Los Straitjackets "Twist & Grind" live Toronto 2006

Los Straitjackets' utterly fantastic and totally unbelievable surf instrumentals combine the playing style of the Ventures, Dick Dale, the Shadows and Duane Eddie. Their tight, energetic live shows are always entertaining. Los Straitjackets recently played Toronto, promoting their latest release, Twist Party!!!, and brought along guest vocalist Kaiser George to sing some songs off the album and the lovely Pontani Sisters to perform some titillating dance numbers. Here's a video of one such number, "Twist & Grind".

I really think the guys (Without Kaiser Georger) sound like a mix more of The Shadows meet Link Wray. Great live band but a little vanilla on CD
