Angel Hernandez ejected guest singer former Chicago Bears player Steve McMichael after he sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at Wrigley Field. McMichael had taken a shot at Hernandez' umpiring after being introduced as the guest singer. Earlier in the game, Hernandez called a Chicago Cubs runner out at home plate and replays suggested the runner was safe.

@canuxfan17 Lol I was at that game too, first base side bout 8 rows from home plate. I agree with everything you said, there was an awesome atmosphere with the Cubs in the playoff hunt and Hernandez missing those two calls. Then that weird trip around home by Gutierez which eventually ended with that amazing play at the plate. Definitely one of the best games I've ever seen live or even on TV

I was at that game. The atmosphere was electric, it was 102 degrees, people were fired up, Hernandez made 2 terrible calls, and then McMichael poured gas on the fire and the place went nuts.
The Cubbies came back to win in the bottom of the ninth on a botched rundown with 2 outs! One of the most memorable games I ever saw live (and my only visit to Wrigley so far).

Wow...that was one of the greatest Cubs games I saw on TV. I believe it was the 1st ever Cubs game on WGN in HDTV.
