When we went to So. Africa, we had to see Victoria Falls since I'd heard about them all my life. After reserching and being there, I found them to be quite different than my expectations. They were much bigger, wider, taller and harder to see than Niagra Falls and more compact than Igacau Falls in Brazil. A helicoptor ride was a necessity. They don't call these falls "The Smoke That Thunders" for nothing - they really do thunder LOUDLY and the smoke can be seen for many miles away!
The photos at the end of this video show what the falls look like in the dry season - six months before we were there. Thanks to our guide Tessa for providing them.
