Exercise demos for an sand volleyball strength training article written for Performance Conditioning Volleyball - the newsletter for the American Volleyball Coaches Association
Cleans vs. snatch is really dependent on the athlete. They are both great exercises for volleyball players, but players with shoulder issues are typically better off with the clean because it doesn't require as much mobility at the shoulder. With an impingement of the shoulder, the biceps tendons and rotator cuff tendons are compressed more the further overhead the movement, aggravating the issue more. Thanks for the comment!
