its called the Michigan because the first time it was ever used in a game was by a player from Michigan U
and its not really that hard, but sid couldn't pull it off in a game, but thats because he plays in the NHL and to even try it in the NHL is stupid you wouldn't have enough time.

The rules say that no kicking puck in net, throwing, or bouncing off helmet, you must use your stick to put it in the net. Now if that is a way to put the puck into the net WITH HIS STICK than wack away. And that was not a "super dumb" way to put a puck in a net, that boy has talent.
